We are very excited to welcome Carine Sérol, the winemaker of Domaine Sérol wines on Tuesday, June 10th! Carine will be pouring and sharing the story of her expressive, terroir-driven wines from the Côte Roannaise—a lesser-known gem at the far southern edge of the Loire. This is a unique chance to taste wines rarely seen in the US, with the winemaker herself as your guide.
Carine Sérol and her husband Stéphane are the stewards of Domaine Sérol, a family estate with deep roots dating back to the 17th century. Located in the Côte Roannaise, their vineyards perch on the granite-rich slopes of the Massif Central, far from the bustling crowds of central Loire but bursting with potential and personality.
Working entirely organically and biodynamically, Carine is known for producing vibrant, mineral-driven wines that reflect both the soul of her land and her progressive approach to winemaking. She works primarily with Gamay Saint-Romain, a local, expressive clone of Gamay that produces lively, aromatic reds and juicy, food-friendly rosés. Her style is all about finesse, purity, and elegance—wines made with minimal intervention and maximum character.
Join us on Tuesday, June 20th from 5pm-7 pm as we taste through 5 exciting styles of terroir-driven wines from Carine’s corner of the Loire. Carine will be roving around the bar to answer any of your questions and chat about what makes their French wines unlike any other!
